How To Plan An Inexpensive Wedding Trip
Do you know someone that’s getting married? If so, it’s a great idea to plan ahead of time so that you can budget properly and save as much as you can when traveling.
In order to plan an inexpensive wedding trip, here are some tips to consider:
Duration: Plan ahead how long you want to travel for. How many days will it take to get there (if you’re driving) and how many days do you want to stay and visit with friends and family? Keep in mind, the longer you stay, the more it’s going to cost you.
Flying vs. driving: Figure out how many miles away the wedding is and how much it would cost to drive there. If it’s far away, also consider the cost of food and hotels. Once you figure out the costs for driving, compare it to the costs of flying there. When looking at airline tickets, consider the prices for each airline.
Cheap hotels: Whether you plan on driving there or you are just going to get a hotel once you arrive, be sure to compare the rates of all the hotels in the area. When you find a hotel last minute, it is usually cheaper than planning ahead (as long as it’s a slow night.)
Cheap food: Since you have to eat, it may be wise to bring your own food with you and to grocery shop instead of going out for each meal. This is very easy to do if you drive.
Consider coupons: Whether you’re booking a flight, looking for a hotel or a rental car, always make sure to see if there is a coupon code you could use to make your trip even cheaper.
Like anything, you can make it expensive or inexpensive. So, if you have a tight budget for this trip, be sure to consider these tips above to save money.
